Do you like hiking and camping? Rock climbing? Working outdoors? Long term career path in a secure industry to complete a 3 year Australian Apprenticeship (Traineeship) in Certificate III Arboriculture Climbing (tree surgeon). Includes 2 years at TAFE. Training includes the safe use of all machinery and equipment, tree care and removal, pest and disease control, front end loader, use of ropes, rigging (mechanical winch), chainsaws, some elevated work platforms and cranes. Driving work truck (may obtain MR licence) Most work is in Hills District, North Western Sydney and Metro area. This is on residential and commercial premises. Wages are paid under the National Training Wage. Must be fit for physical work and have white card. Drivers Licence and transport preferred, close to Thornleigh Train Station. No TAFE fees and attendance is paid work time . Hours are Monday – Friday 6.30am – 3.30pm. Some overtime may be required. Rostered days off. School Students: We welcome students wishing to complete 1 weeks work experience with a view to commencing the traineeship if suitable.
